Planet Coaster 2 Spooktacular Pack: Full DLC Guide

What Does the Spooktacular Pack Add?

The Planet Coaster 2 Spooktacular Pack lets you build haunted attractions that guests explore on foot. Customizable guest reactions give your scenes a payoff, while seven rides and over 700 scenery pieces help extend the Halloween atmosphere across an entire park. You can also use the new Walkthrough Attractions for cheerful adventures, enchanted forests, and other experiences beyond horror.

The pack is scheduled to release on October 29, 2026, with PC versions on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is an add-on rather than a standalone game; the Steam version requires Planet Coaster 2 on Steam.

Alongside its attractions and scenery, the pack includes three entertainers, new audio, special effects, and spooky variations of familiar shops. Its additions cover both building an attraction and dressing the streets around it.

You can find the pack on the Steam DLC page or Epic Games Store add-on page.

Build Walkthrough Attractions Around Guest Reactions

Walkthrough Attractions let you create custom experiences from scratch or start with blueprints. Guests travel through scenes on foot, and you can customize their reactions to create moments of excitement, surprise, suspense, or wonder.

That changes how you can tell a story. A haunted building can become a journey through connected rooms, with each scene giving visitors something different to respond to. The feature also works with the game's other themes, so the same concept can support a ghost ship, an enchanted woodland, or an abandoned alien vessel.

Try these combinations:

  • Ghost-town walkthrough: Use damaged buildings and boarded windows to establish the setting, then introduce skeleton animatronics and eerie effects.
  • Haunted pirate adventure: Combine Pirate scenery with ghostly characters and suspenseful scenes.
  • Family-friendly forest: Build around moments of wonder and surprise rather than scares.
  • Abandoned industrial attraction: Pair rusty materials and pipes with mist, slime, and atmospheric audio.

Plan the guest reaction alongside each scene. Give visitors something clear to notice, then choose a response that fits the story you want to tell. Use the flexibility to vary the mood across the attraction instead of making every scene another scare.

All Seven Rides and Their Features

The ride lineup includes two coasters, two tracked dark rides, and three additional attractions. Walkthrough Attractions are a separate feature alongside these seven rides.

Spectre adds a customizable multi-launch option for coaster builders. Its open-seating design and LSM launches give you another ride system to build a themed coaster around.

Sledge takes a different direction, carrying guests of all ages over twisting hills. Keep its family audience in mind when designing the surrounding scenery and attraction story.

For scene-based builds, Bosetti and The Huntsman offer different presentations. Bosetti carries guests on an inverted dark ride, while The Huntsman takes them around dark corners on a tracked journey. Account for The Huntsman's adult-and-teen restriction when planning a park area intended for families.

Ballista, Rumpus Room, and Horror Heights round out the selection with swinging motion, a disorienting chamber, and tower drops. Each gives you a different centerpiece to incorporate into a haunted building or themed plaza.

Combine Spooktacular and Spooky Scenery

The scenery collection spans two themes: the new Spooktacular Theme and the returning Spooky Theme. Together, they cover rundown ghost towns, monstrous buildings, haunted houses, and graveyards.

Planet Coaster 2 — Combine Spooktacular and Spooky Scenery

Spooktacular focuses on damaged, neglected structures. Its building materials include boarded-up windows, broken wooden planks, and rusty corrugated metal. Monster teeth and glowing eyes let you turn a building facade into part of the creature cast.

Use those materials to establish a consistent setting. Carry the same damaged wood and rusted metal across an entrance, neighboring buildings, and attraction exterior so the area feels connected.

The returning Spooky Theme supplies more traditional Halloween scenery:

  • Pumpkins and creepy animatronics
  • Tombstones and skeletons
  • Gargoyles and cobwebs
  • Pieces for crypts and cemetery scenes

Combine the themes to build transitions between settings: a ruined town leading into a forgotten cemetery, for example, or an industrial building hiding a haunted interior.

There are also three Spooktacular Photo Stand Boards. Place them near a themed gathering area to give the setting another playful detail beyond its rides and scares.

Meet the Three Entertainers and Retheme Your Shops

Three entertainers bring the Halloween theme onto the park paths:

  • Wigglebones: A larger-than-life character whose act includes removing his head.
  • King Ghoster: A returning ghostly face for your haunted park.
  • Queen Scream: A spooky entertainer suited to Halloween gatherings.

The pack also gives familiar in-game brands Halloween variations across food, drink, and souvenir shops. Extend the theme through those buildings to keep the area visually consistent between attractions.

Build the shops into the same architectural setting as the rides. Use damaged facades for a ghost-town street or graveyard details around a haunted-house plaza, then bring the entertainers into that setting.

Shape the Atmosphere With Audio and Special Effects

The audio and effects collection includes 29 ambient sounds, over 90 sound effects, 14 music tracks, and 20 special effects.

The visual effects include bats, lightning, rain, spiders, spooky flames, mist, and slime. Those additions give you ways to add movement and atmosphere to otherwise static scenery.

Match each effect to the setting. Use mist around crypts, lightning around a possessed building, or slime and glowing acid puddles in a grimy industrial scene.

Give the audio a similar purpose. Establish the location with an ambient sound, choose music that fits its mood, and use individual sound effects to emphasize particular scenes. For family-friendly walkthroughs, build around wonder and surprise; reserve the harsher Halloween atmosphere for attractions designed to scare.
