Planet Coaster 2 DLC gives you more ways to build around a specific idea, from a vintage midway to a movie studio park. The packs differ in their mix of rides, scenery, and attraction features, so compare their contents before spending your park-building budget. Spooktacular adds another option with its October 29, 2026 release date, bringing Walkthrough Attractions, horror scenery, and seven rides.
Which DLC Packs Can You Buy?

The contents give you a more useful comparison than price alone:
- Bonus Ride Collection: Three additional rides.
- Vintage Funfair Ride Pack: Ten vintage rides for a classic amusement park atmosphere.
- Thrill-Seekers Ride Pack: Five high-adrenaline attractions.
- Sorcery Pack: Five rides alongside fantasy characters and gothic architecture.
- Toybox Pack: Five rides with oversized toys and colorful, block-built scenery.
- Parades Pack: Tools and content for creating parades through your park.
- Silver Screen Pack: Seven rides, over 650 scenery items, and the entertainer Cornell Butterworth.
Count the attractions you actually want to build before comparing pack totals. A scenery set that fits an entire park area can matter more to your project than extra rides you have no plans to use.
What Spooktacular Adds
Spooktacular’s scheduled October 29, 2026 release brings over 700 scenery pieces, seven rides, and the debut of Walkthrough Attractions.

Its ride lineup spans three flat rides, two coasters, and two dark rides:
- Rumpus Room: A rotating-room attraction with a drum you can decorate.
- A family swing flat ride: A non-inverting swinging attraction.
- Horror Heights: An elevator-style attraction returning from the original game.
- Spectre: A coaster with launch and turntable elements.
- A bobsled-style coaster: Another option for custom coaster layouts.
- A suspended dark ride: Vehicles travel beneath an overhead track.
- Huntsman: A returning dark ride with two-tier seating.
The scenery also has uses beyond Halloween builds. Corrugated metal, chipboard, wood pieces, and worn industrial details can support scrapyards, neglected buildings, or weathered sections of another themed area.
Use those construction materials to carry the theme through the station, queue, and ride vehicles. Scalable scenery attached to rides gives you room to make an attraction belong to its surroundings.
For Rumpus Room, account for the raised platform and entrance stairs when planning its building. Leave room around the access structure before committing to a tightly enclosed facade.
Building With Spectre’s Turntable
Spectre’s turntable requires attention to both its direction arrows and pass-through settings. The exit arrow indicates the train’s eventual departure direction after its passes through the element.
Match that final exit direction to the continuing layout before configuring a reversing spike. Then test the pass-through sequence before decorating the turntable area; its configuration affects how the train moves through the reversal.
How Walkthrough Attractions Work
Walkthrough Attractions let you create an experience guests explore on foot. Their layout uses a station, checkpoints, and connecting paths, with reaction points directing guests’ attention toward particular scenes.

To lay out the attraction:
- Place the walkthrough station.
- Place checkpoints in the order guests should visit them.
- Connect the entrance and checkpoints in that same order.
- Add the entrance queue and a path for staff access.
- Position reaction points near the scenes you want guests to notice.
Each checkpoint marks the end of the preceding zone. A reaction point has an adjustable radius and cooldown, plus a focus target that determines where guests look. Without a separate focus target, guests look toward the reaction point itself.
Build a simple route and test guest movement before adding dense scenery. In the pre-release build, reaction points could leave guests stuck or sliding in reaction animations, and stopping and turning toward a scene could take a long time. Those limitations matter when planning tightly timed scares.
What the Silver Screen Pack Includes
Silver Screen launched on August 19, 2026, with seven rides, over 650 scenery items, and Cornell Butterworth as an additional entertainer.

Its building pieces support movie sets and city backdrops, including skyscrapers, gold architectural detailing, and stucco finishes. That gives you materials for studio entrances, urban streets, and cinematic facades.
The ride selection includes the New-Gen Flying Coaster, Slot Car, Cinema, Fourth Wall, Studio Tour, and Re-Motion attractions. For a studio-themed project, plan the ride buildings alongside the surrounding streets so the sets continue beyond the attraction entrance.
The August 25 hotfix made several changes relevant to these builds:
- Studio Tour and Re-Motion gained Load/Unload Stations.
- Fourth Wall’s Spin Cabin sequence was corrected.
- Fourth Wall and Cinema regained custom music functionality.
- The Phoenix ride blueprint’s terrain-intersection placement issue was fixed.
Use the separate loading and unloading options when planning Studio Tour or Re-Motion stations, and test custom music before sequencing a finished attraction around it.
Paid Packs and Free Updates Add Different Content
Water parks, pools, water slides, piece-by-piece coaster construction, ride scenery customization, and the event sequencer are part of the game’s core feature set. You can build around those systems without buying a themed pack.
Free Update 11 was scheduled for August 19, 2026. Its announced additions included:
- Wait Time Signs displaying a ride’s average wait.
- New Food Concessions.
- On-ride photos for tracked rides and flumes.
The August 25, 2026 hotfix also removed an unintended Silver Screen requirement from menu items sold at Concession Stands. It corrected sound blocking through walls and buildings, which matters when placing noisy attractions beside quieter indoor spaces.
Look for these free additions in your updated game before buying a pack for a feature that arrived alongside it.
Deluxe Edition and the Soundtrack
The Deluxe Edition includes the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack, adding its ten vintage rides to the base game. Check your existing edition’s contents before purchasing that pack separately.
The soundtrack is a separate purchase titled The music of Planet Coaster 2: You, me & Fluidity. Released on November 14, 2024, it contains 80 original songs across four discs by JJ. Ipsen. Its regular Steam price is $9.99, with a promotional price of $4.99.
Choose the soundtrack for listening outside the game. For additional attractions or building pieces, compare the gameplay packs instead.
