What Does the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack Include?

Give your park a classic fairground centerpiece with spinning carriages, antique cars, and wooden coaster tracks. The Planet Coaster 2 vintage funfair ride pack adds ten attractions that expand your options for building a nostalgic amusement park. It’s available separately as DLC and comes included with the Deluxe Edition.

The collection covers several different ride styles: traditional fairground attractions, three wooden coaster types, and a tracked antique car ride. That variety gives you room to build a dedicated vintage area or work individual attractions into a larger park.

Fairground Attractions

The fairground lineup includes Grand Carousel, Chair-O-Plane, Helter Skelter, Monte Leone, Hyperspin, and Buoyancy. Several have distinctive movements or structures that can help shape the surrounding area:

  • Grand Carousel: A traditional rotating platform with different seating designs that rise and fall to music.
  • Chair-O-Plane: Suspended seats swing around the carousel while its height, tilt, and speed change during the ride.
  • Helter Skelter: Guests climb an interior staircase, then descend along a spiral slide wrapped around the outside of the tower.
  • Monte Leone: Two-seat carriages circle the center while moving up and down and tilting. A canopy extends over the riders once the attraction reaches full speed.
  • Hyperspin: An open-top Waltzer with freely rotating seats traveling around a circular conveyor.

Monte Leone’s moving canopy gives it a particularly recognizable feature. Leave a clear view from the nearby path so the change remains visible to anyone walking past. For Helter Skelter, use the tower and exterior slide as the focal point of a small plaza.

Wooden Roller Coasters

Three wooden coaster types bring different layouts and vehicle designs to the collection:

  • City Peninsula - Wooden: A traditional wooden coaster with four benches per car, seating eight riders. Its appeal centers on rolling hills, curves, and the familiar look of an older wooden attraction.
  • Eddie Fun Mitchell Company – Wooden – Side Friction: An antique coaster with four riders per car and two sets of wheels. Its period design has no seatbelts, straps, or harnesses.
  • Whitelake Amusement Shore - Wooden - Wild Mouse: A compact wooden side-friction coaster featuring sharp corners, limited banking, and quick elevation changes relative to the car’s speed.

Use the Wild Mouse when planning a compact coaster area. Build around its tight turns and abrupt changes in direction rather than expecting the broad, sweeping profile of a larger wooden coaster.

Antique Car Ride

Dart Kinetics - Antique Powered Cars adds a tracked attraction with gas-powered vehicles styled after antique automobiles.

Use its steady pace to support a scenic route. Arrange scenery along the track so the journey has something to look at between turns, and carry the same architectural style through the station and surrounding paths.

Deluxe Edition and Buying the DLC

Check your edition before purchasing the pack separately:

  • Base game required: You need Planet Coaster 2 to use this DLC.
  • Deluxe Edition: The ten-ride collection is included.
  • PC compatibility: The Steam version of the base game supports Windows and offers full controller support.

If you already own Deluxe Edition, check your included content before adding another purchase. If you own Standard Edition, compare the separate pack’s price with any bundle you’re considering, especially when other included content overlaps with your library.

You can review edition options on the Planet Coaster 2 Steam page.

Building a Cohesive Vintage Fairground

Start with one recognizable attraction, then give the surrounding rides a shared visual identity. Use the game’s customizable scenery and scalable objects to repeat colors, architectural details, and decorative shapes throughout the area.

Try these layouts:

  • Carousel plaza: Frame Grand Carousel with a spacious plaza, keeping its moving seats visible from the approaches.
  • Traditional midway: Arrange spinning attractions along a shared pedestrian area, with Helter Skelter providing a vertical landmark.
  • Wooden coaster district: Carry the same scenery style from a wooden coaster’s station into the nearby antique car route.

Leave room for amenities while drawing the layout. Planet Coaster 2 balances attraction building with guest needs, budgets, and power requirements. Use heat maps and individual guest information to identify problems, then adjust the area around the rides instead of filling every available space with another attraction.
