What Does the Toybox Pack Include?

Turn your next park district into a city built from toys. The Planet Coaster 2 toybox pack adds five attractions, plastic, wood, and cardboard building sets, and a superhero entertainer. That combination gives you both the rides and the scenery to build a complete toy-themed area.

The paid DLC includes two roller coasters, three flat rides, and a scenery collection built around childhood toys and arts and crafts. Its attractions range from a family coaster to a surfing machine, so there is content for both coaster parks and waterparks.

All Five New Rides

The ride selection mixes coaster construction with ready-made attractions. Two coasters expand your track-building options, while Highroll, WaveSim, and Airdrop add distinct ride experiences.

Coaster Blueprints: Equilibrium and Starfish

The suspended coaster comes with the “Equilibrium” blueprint, while the Kid Coaster includes “Starfish.” These give you prebuilt layouts alongside the coaster types themselves.

Use the Kid Coaster as the centerpiece of a toy-town family area. Build the suspended coaster through a skyline of plastic towers to connect its overhead track with the pack’s oversized-city theme.

WaveSim Adds Surfing to Your Waterpark

WaveSim is a water flat ride where guests surf while wearing swimwear. It adds a different activity alongside pools and flumes.

Build a surf-themed backdrop around the machine using the scenery tools. Keep the waterpark’s weather needs in mind, too: Update 8 makes guests leave pools during thunderstorms and introduces pool temperatures.

Airdrop Creates a Visible Landmark

Airdrop’s tall structure gives you something to build a district around. Place it where its tower can mark the toy area, then use the surrounding scenery to carry that theme down to the paths.

Highroll brings a different silhouette, with six rotating gondola arms. Use the two rides to vary the skyline instead of filling every corner with similarly shaped buildings.

Toybox Scenery, Animatronics, and Max Stormcloud

The scenery collection supports several versions of the same playful theme. Bright plastic pieces suit a miniature city, wooden blocks lend themselves to stacked buildings, and cardboard sets create an arts-and-crafts look.

The building materials come with props, decals, lighting, and signs. Smaller details include animal blocks and googly eyes, while themed bins, benches, and picnic benches help carry the design into guest areas.

The pack also includes:

  • 29 Toybox scenery blueprints for ready-made themed builds.
  • Four Toybox music tracks, plus triggered sound effects and ambient audio.
  • Police Officer, Paramedic, and Alien animatronics.
  • A plastic wind-up Modular Animated Robot and an Animated Push Puppet.
  • Max Stormcloud, the superhero-themed entertainer.
  • A Police Officer Hat for gift shops.

Max Stormcloud gives the area a character to build around. Pair the entertainer with a plastic city, toy emergency-service figures, and alien props to establish a superhero setting.

For animated scenes, combine the pack’s robot and character props with the game’s event sequencer. Animatronic scaling arrived with free Update 8, giving you control over their size as well.

Building Ideas for a Toy-Themed Park Area

Start with a specific setting so the different materials work together. A wooden-block town, cardboard craft project, and plastic superhero city each give the district a clear visual direction.

Build a Cardboard Town

Use cardboard walls, roofs, and trim to construct a small streetscape. Add the pack’s decals and signs to extend the handmade appearance across the buildings.

Start with the included scenery blueprints to explore how pieces fit together. Then carry the same materials into your own structures, entrances, and ride surroundings.

Create a Superhero City

Build plastic skyscrapers around the suspended coaster and add Police Officer, Paramedic, and Alien animatronics to the streets below. Bring Max Stormcloud into the area to connect the character theme with the buildings.

Use the toy props at different scales to create a city that feels assembled from a child’s collection.

Combine Toys With a Holiday Workshop

Pair the Toybox pieces with the free Festive scenery to build a holiday toy workshop. Combine wooden blocks and cardboard structures with gingerbread building pieces, festive lighting, and seasonal props.

Keep the materials consistent within each building. Use the toys as workshop contents and decorations, then connect the area through shared lighting and signs.

What Free Update 8 Adds

Update 8 arrived on December 4, 2025, alongside the DLC. Its additions affect both building and park management.

The returning Festive theme includes building pieces, scenery props, lighting, signs, animatronics, and two music tracks. The update also adds rough concrete construction pieces, returning scenery blueprints, and 10 themed blueprints for existing flat rides.

Weather introduces more operational decisions:

  • Snow falls in Temperate and Taiga biomes and accumulates on park surfaces.
  • Warmth becomes a guest need, with electrical heaters and sheltered spaces helping guests stay comfortable.
  • Pool heaters keep water warm; guests will avoid pools that are too cold or frozen.
  • Thunderstorms can occur in every biome, with a higher chance in Tropical environments.
  • Lightning can damage rides, generators, and water pumps.
  • Solar panel output responds to sunlight and weather conditions.

Use the Temperature and Warmth heatmaps to find cold areas and uncomfortable guests. Add shelter around dining and seating, and heat pools you intend to keep open during cold weather.

For a Sandbox project focused on building, adjust the weather settings before working on your toy district. Update 8 provides controls for individual weather conditions, weather-related simulation effects, utilities affected by weather, and pool temperatures.
